James has 10 years property experience and a broad agency oriented background having held roles both client side and working within agency teams.

Prior to joining Avison Young he was head of private treaty at a leading regional property consultancy where he worked on multi-sector agency instructions for an institutional and prop co centred client base.

He has also worked in-house for a large North West based landlord/developer fulfilling an agency function as well as working on new development opportunities with a remit to maximise income and ensuring long term capital asset growth.

Experience taking a broader responsibility for in-house asset management has provided James with greater insight into the challenges and objectives that are significant to landlords and investors and as a result he can offer a more rounded ‘360°’ view when providing agency services in an external consultancy role.
