Avison Young strengthens National Investment team with new Life Sciences and Workspace lead
15 January 2025Global real estate firm Avison Young today announces a new hire in its growing National Investment Team. Guy Spencer has been appointed to the role of Life Sciences and Workspace Director, demonstrating the firm’s commitment to growing its specialist service lines.
Spencer brings a strong track record as a capital markets advisor across the UK, with extensive expertise in the Life Sciences and Workspace sectors. He previously held a senior National Investment role at BNP Paribas Real Estate and prior to that he was an equity partner at Strutt & Parker. Spencer has knowledge and expertise in acquisition and disposal work having transacted over £2bn, working with a wide UK & International client base. He has advised on notable life science projects such as at Surrey Research Park for British Land, on Oxford Science Park for Clearbell and on office to industrial opportunities including Watchmoor Park, Camberley for Anglesea Capital.
Based in Avison Young’s London HQ, he will play a pivotal role in driving the firm’s growth by identifying and securing opportunities that build on its longstanding reputation. This is part of the growth strategy for the National Investment Team, to strengthen its key sector specialists in London to complement regional expertise and intelligence. His appointment follows four senior additions to Avison Young’s National Offices team in three key markets – Birmingham, Liverpool and Glasgow.
