Brett Armstrong is a principal and the managing director for the firm’s Vancouver office and is responsible for the operations and strategic direction of the Vancouver market. Brett joined Avison Young in 2012 at the firm’s global headquarters in Toronto, Ontario where he worked as an office leasing broker until making the move across the country in 2024. Brett’s experience in both the Ontario and British Columbia markets, has been a tremendous benefit to understanding real estate and strategic initiatives on a national level.

During his tenure in Toronto, Brett climbed the ranks of the Canadian market and was most recently the practice leader for the downtown Toronto leasing team. Throughout Brett’s career he has worked on some of the firm’s largest and most complex tenant representation and landlord representation assignments. Brett has been the recipient of many internal and external awards such as Avison Young’s circle of excellence award, cross selling award and the winner of NAIOP’s young professional of the year award.

Brett is an active volunteer in the community and champions many fundraising efforts for non-profit organizations and most recently served on the board of directors for Melanoma Canada.
