As a Principal on Avison Young’s Capital Markets Team, Luis Elorza manages acquisitions, dispositions, valuations and equity placement for stabilized multifamily properties and development opportunities in Florida. 

Luis’ business background includes more than 25 years of real estate, investment banking and corporate finance experience. The majority of Luis’ career was directly related to real estate, either as a lender, investment banker, restructuring professional or broker. Prior to joining Avison Young, Luis was a Senior Vice President and Managing Director of Northmarq’s Investment Sales, and Executive Director of Cushman & Wakefield’s Capital Markets Group, both in central and southwest Florida.

At Cushman & Wakefield and Northmarq, Luis closed approximately $5 billion in multifamily transactions since 2005. Luis also previously held real estate and finance positions at Merrill Lynch’s Global Private Equity Group, Citicorp Real Estate, and Ernst & Young Consulting. At these firms, he managed a broad range of real estate and corporate finance assignments including mergers and acquisitions, commercial lending, restructuring, privatizations, and valuations.
